Minjoo Kim

Minjoo Kim was born and raised in South Korea. She received her BA in Psychological Science and Theater from Colgate University and her MA in Theater and Performance Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. As a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship recipient, she traveled to Singapore, Japan, Spain, South Africa, Mexico, and Hong Kong and studied how the government and individual citizens use performances to negotiate the complexities of national identity. Her research interests include performances of national identity, transit hubs (especially airports) as performance sites, tourism, multilingual theater, and Korean studies. Outside of work and school, she enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, crocheting, and daydreaming.
