In celebration of IPTD’s thirtieth anniversary, we hosted a two-day, alumni-graduate student reunion and symposium on October 5-6, 2018. The event had three main facets that foregrounded the inter-generational transfer of knowledge and skills: an alumni research symposium (Friday) organized and conducted by graduate students; panel discussions and workshops (Saturday) geared toward supporting students as they complete the PhD; and mentor match-ups (Friday and Saturday) conceived as enduring one-on-one relationships between current students and alumni.
