IPTD is committed to recruiting and supporting a diverse student body. Visit The Graduate School for more information on the wide range of diversity initiatives and resources available to Northwestern graduate students.
The Graduate School supports full-time PhD students at all stages of life with subsidized health insurance and free access to all Northwestern Health and Wellness Services. Graduate students who are parents may also take advantage of a variety of family resources, such as 12 weeks of parental accommodation for new parents, optional dependent plans attached to student health insurance, and child care networks. For more information, see the Work/Life and Family Resources for Graduate Students Brochure.
All full-time graduate students receive a personalized U-Pass (included in the annual student fee) that provides free access to all CTA public transportation during the academic year. The Graduate School also provides several housing options, both on and off campus. See more information on TGS housing and transportation resources.
